Veteran’s Salute! Presented by the Pages of Harmony
To honor 6 of Spokane’s remaining Pearl Harbor survivors near the 70th anniversary of the 1941 attack on Hawaii, Spokane’s Pages of Harmony, a 35-man barbershop chorus, will perform a special concert of patriotic songs saluting our military veterans during a 90-minute show at the Lincoln Center, at 1316 North Lincoln Street, Spokane, 99201 on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 7 pm.
The patriotic musical program features Star-Spangled Banner, You’re a Grand Ol’ Flag, God Bless the USA and Mansions of the Lord from the Mel Gibson film “We Were Soldiers”. All music is sung a cappella with 4 voices (bass, baritone, tenor and lead) sounding as one.
Tickets are $25 in advance by calling 509-325-2925, or $45 at the door. Donations to cover admission of Pearl Harbor veterans and their honor guards and guests are welcome.
Proceeds from this event support Honor Flight costs to send Spokane WWII veterans to visit the Washington, D.C. memorial, honoring their service and sacrifice.
Celebrating its 60th year, the Pages of Harmony Barbershop Chorus, a nationally competitive, non-profit ensemble from Spokane, brings musical programs to the community and charitable events.
